About Us

Education for All

At Humaira Riaz Schools, we aim to provide quality education to underprivileged children as a part of its commitment to the UN - Sustainable Development Goal #4: Quality Education. The school started in 2017, in Heir Village, Bedian Road Lahore with a one-room rented premises. On inception, its program only focused on Early Years Education - Playgroup, Nursery and Kindergarten for 42 children, but the school has since added a grade every year to match the growing progression of learning and an increased intake of learners. By June 2023, the school had reached grade seven with an enrolment of two hundred twenty-seven children.

Pakistan is facing a serious challenge to ensure all children, particularly the most disadvantaged, attend, stay, and learn in school. An estimated 22.8 million children aged 5-16 are out-of-school, which means Pakistan has the second highest number of out of school children in the world. Furthermore, disparities based on gender, socio-economic status, and geography are rampant in the already existing inequitable education system in Pakistan.

Humaira Riaz Schools provides equitable expansion of quality education in Pakistan by targeting extremely disadvantaged children. Our education program is focused on Early Childhood Education (ECE) to improve school readiness and expansion of equitable and quality alternative learning pathways (ALP) at basic education levels.
